Announcement details (a) The arbitration proceedings relate to disputes arising from the a United States Dollar (USD) 180.0 million contract awarded by Petrodar to the joint venture of Bentini SpA and NF Energy Sdn Bhd (BNFE) on 25 July 2004, for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of 6 pumping facilities along an export pipeline, which forms part of the Melut Basin Oil Development Project in Sudan (Project). (b) Full mechanical completion for the Project was achieved on 26 August 2009. (c) Disputes arose between the parties on claims made by BNFE. The parties attempted but were unable to amicably resolve such disputes. something wrong with namfatt....suddenly drop 2 cents ? the key point to change this counter now is whether the director able to come out a plan to rescue this counter from PN17 or not only .. as wat i saw, i think they are trying hard to move out from PN17 now (sold land,extend pn17 expired date,JV with other company to get petrodar project and do something related to creditor on business) for me, i take the risk for this counter this time ~ XD  |

Nam Fatt lost $ big time due to Sudan Project. Did u noe dat one Coy named PECD actually gone bust becoz of Sudan Oil Project called Melut Basin. MMC Oil & Gas oso lost $ for this project and so did muhibah. but luckily these 2 not dat badly hurt.
This Melut Basin is actually JV O & G field opened by Sudan Oil Co. & Petronas. So dat's y many local O & G players were invited to take part and they really jumped into d "fire".
Becoz I once worked with MMC, i came 2 understand dat in Sudan is a terrible place 2 b due to constant terrorism, civil wars & rebellion activities. I was even told dat some of my colleagues have been killed there but I dunno whether it was true or juz a rumour.
If i oso not mistaken, Nam Fatt faced big financial problem due to JB-S'pore CIQ Project.
