Here is the update for the trade recomendation made last friday night. The price has move steadily toward the target we have established last friday night. As a trader, we want to make profit not to analyse accurately, so I recommend to close 1/2 of the position to lock in our profits, don let the caught birds fly away.

Well, This is the update for the most arguable target. Nevertheless, the target is again hit nicely!! Please find the chart below.

This result may not be very satisfactory, the rish involved was too big. Nevertheless, the targets were achieved unquestionably.

Reason for such a high volatility today was terrorist alert that was alarmed in the morning of European Countries.

The problem with cut loss is, easy to say hard to do; the problem with let the profit run is, most often, the profit only run 100m, not the 400m as you expected.

In the chart below, you will find that Boeing is about to take off. Profits of at least 6 dollars are to be harvested with slightly bullish strategy. For option trader, you might consider putting a bull call spread.

Hi Guys

As AbuseYou suggested, I am opening the Bull Call Spread Strategy for October Expiration as per the following positions :

1. BTO (Buy To Open) .BAJO Oct Call 75 @ 3.10
2. STO (Sell To Open) .BAJP Oct Call 80 @ 1.00

Cost Incurred for the positions for 10 contracts:
BTO : $3.10 x 10 x 100 = $3100
STO : $1.00 x 10 x 100 = $1000

Net Debit = $3100 - $1000 = $2100

Let's see if AbuseYou predictions is true :-)

Thanks Rozmi for trusting my analysis, but please know that all the risk in this trade is bear by you, I have no responsibility for the trade. I do not bear any liability for losses generated by this trade. Hope we are clear. What I do is just providing quality analysis and suggestions for free.

From the trade you placed, the maximum loss you have is limited. I think you must be experienced enough in trading options. Instead of getting in to in-the-money bull call spread, you placed a out-of-the-money bull call spread which costs you lesser. I am sure you have checked the implied volatility of the strategy when you placed that trade to make sure it is not too expensive in term of Implied Volatility. And I hope the Risk to reward ratio for this trade is to your favor.

Let's see in 2 weeks' time.

Hi AbuseYou

Not to worry. Fully understood of your diclaimer. I believe whatever actions or decision I took, is 100% my own responsibility. If those decision was wrong, it is me to blame, no one else. I have lost money, and made money before. It is part of the game. As an Option Trader, we have to be neutral in our trades. Don't let our emotions drive us. Once an open  position is established, just stick to the plan. If the situation is reversing and trigger the stop loss conditions, just exit the trade, study what when wrong, why it happens, learn from it and move on. It's that simple

Attached is the Profit & Loss Chart at expiration

Anyway, what's you opinion on the Risk & Reward ratio based on th P&L graph?

Dear Rozmi,
The risk-to-reward ratio of this trade is (2900-30)/(2100+30)=1.35. In this case, the ratio is still ok :^)
The optimum risk ratio should be 2 and above but that would require you to buy even far out-of-the-money bull call spread. And also implied volatility (IV) plays an important part in the pricing of option. For this 75/80 Bull Call Spread, we would require IV to work in our favor. As soon as the investing public notice Boeing is about to go up, even price has not change, IV has already increased, and you will make money. Option can be played in term of emotion of the investing public. That is the fun part.
  Good luck!!!

Hi AbuseYou

All this while, I have been focussing on lagging indicators. Now switching to leading indicators. Currently studying EW and Fibonacci. Need your expert advice on these two subjects :-)

Going back to stock BA as per your analysis, the starting point in Fibonacci is to identify the Low and High points. Once those two points identified, only then we can draw the appropriate charts

In this case, I identified :
- High Point on 10/5/2006 when Closing Price = $88.94
- Low Point on 29/8/2006 when closing Price = $ 73.78

Chart 1 shows Fibobacci Retracement Graph :

Chart 2 shows Fibonacci Fan Graph :

Chart 3 shows Fibonacci Arcs Graph :

If my understanding about Fibonacci is correct, those 3 graphs really support your prediction that BA stock is highly likey to go up to 79/80 price range.

What's your opinion

Dear Rozmi,
My analysis is solely based on price movement where price is my only indicator. In the context of EW and fibonacci, I am student too, cannot be claimed as "expert".
You posted a very good chart on how we should use fibo fan, fibo arc and fibo retracement. Keep it coming.
For Boeing recently, my targets came from the fibo retracement of 38.2% in the 5th wave. I only trade on the fifth wave because it has the highest possibility, but not 100%.(EW book from Robert Precther) This kind of EW patterns exist everyday in the market. Good money management together with good odds, we can make a lot of money from the market.
Good luck and wish you a lot of profits!!

Mr. Abuse You,

Sorry I don't have the investment knowledge to follow your postings in detail but I've noticed that in six pages of forum postings I don't think you've made a single bad call.

Are the Elliot Wave and Fibonacci the only two techniques that you use, and how do you select which stocks/currencies/markets to run your analysis on?

Thanks.

Dear Calvin,
Thanks for showing interests in my analysis. Yes, the only indicator I use for my trading is price, not any other. The main knowledge is derived from Elliot Wave. (books from Robert Pretcher).
No, I do face failures sometime. However, from my experience 80% of the analysis are correct. So, with proper money management, we can make consistent profits.
I have a few criterias to meet before I choose to invest in one stocks/market/index/commodities/futures/forex. But most of them are the criteria for Elliot Wave to work well. Liquidity is the first. Efficiency of market is the second.
Good liquidity translates to ease of transaction. This makes sure that when you want to buy, there is somebody to sell to you and vice versa. This also means lower cost of transactions. Just compare costs of trading in Malaysia to cost of trading in Singapore. Liquidity is a bit better in Singapore.
A very efficient market means, all stocks/prices reflects to true picture. Once, a share is under- or over-valued, the correction of price can happen very quickly. This mean profits can be made quickly so this reduces our opportunity cost of our funds.
Hope this answers your questions. Wish you a lot of profits!

Dear Juliez,
  Thanks for reply.
Hmmm... that is a good question. In fact, I don't look at stocks fundamentally. I am a trader not an investor. I position myself very firmly. Fluctuation of stock prices do matter the most for traders but not the strength of one company. I am sorry cause cannot answer you precisely.
However, if you can provide the chart of these 2 companies, I would be very happy to analyse it for you. As Robert Prectcher said, every price action has already captured the news/rumours/fundamentals of one company.
