Can anyone share what is your best stock purchase so far? When and for how much did you buy it, how long did you hold it and how much did you sell it for?

it doesnt bring any means as it was in the past..
maybe the money you got, already loss in other counter.. in the end, may end up zero..

just buy any counter u see potential and sell when already in profit.. that's all matter..
no need to hear success story as it will not be repeated again n again.. opportunity will come in different ways.. either you lucky to have it in first hand or end up buying high..

On hindsight, my biggest profit of all was actually based on a trade that broke one rule of trading: don't catch a falling knife!

In June '98,I bought Hwa Tai when it was still falling, entering at 5.05,but it kept on falling & only bottom out at 2.46 later that year.

I sold it for 13.20 in '99,but it was still a bad purchase.

Of course, I also made a lot of mistakes that hopefully I've learnt from, and will be the basis of great success in the future!

Yes, after the share split.

I guess Hwa Tai is my one & only true success story. I've traded it about 6 or 7 different times since 1998: in 5.05, out 13.20, in 3.26, out 5.15 (2001) , in 0.605, out 0.825(2010), in 0.575, out 0.64(2011) etc.

But there are only a handful of such stocks I managed to trade in & out many times & always winning - Hwa Tai, Renong in the 1990s and Equation(Heshe) in S'pore.

My stocks are doing much better.  Bought 2,000shr of Carlsberg at avg 5.75/shr last year.  Now the stk price is 10.40/shr.  GAB bought 100 shrs at 6.97.  Today stk price is 13.50. Wish I had more of GAB.  Dividends are also quite good.

I'm getting dividend almost every month, the biggest amount normally comes in May-Jul from AMFirst, Hektar, TWRReit, MSNiaga & Yilai.

U mixed up already...

not true, hwa tai reach over rm200, see article below:

Aokam Perdana Bhd, PWE Industries Bhd and Idris Hydraulic (M) Bhd were some of the punter favourites in the mid-1990s, when the ramping up of shares was common place prior to the Asian financial crisis. In fact, the second board used to be a gold mine for excessive speculation as share prices soared to levels that would be unthinkable today. Repco Holdings Bhd was the most infamous of the ramped-up stocks. Its share price prior to the Asian crisis in 1997 hit a high of RM140.50. The stock has since been delisted. But the highest-priced stock was biscuit maker Hwa Tai Industries Bhd. Its share price prior to the 1997 crisis was just over RM200 a share. On an adjusted basis, that would be equivalent to RM96 today. Hwa Tai closed on Thursday at 62.5 sen. Thumbs Up

Only direct sales agents share sucksex stories.

For stock markets, sharing successful technique is suicide as when everyone is using your technique, it won't work any more.

Let me tell you the first kind of success stories.. And it is very easy, anyone who do this sure win 85%..

What you need to do is.. Don't play at stock market, so you won't be the 85% people that are losing.. No lose = win.. Smiley

Easy? Just need practice to make perfect only
