financially jargon, this called snake bite.

refer to behavioral finance, u will find more interesting case like this...
today er, this is also called heuristic representativeness....
The problem with cut loss is, easy to say hard to do; the problem with let the profit run is, most often, the profit only run 100m, not the 400m as you expected.

So much jargon.
Layman terms - Regional Impact. Jesse Livermore talks about stocks in the same group may move in the same direction. Same with markets. Regional markets may move in the same direction.
Another way to look at it, if Thailand is successful in this measure, others may follow. And the first few may be the ones closest to it - Regional markets. Besides, Msia have a history of it.

No wonder most stock maket around Asia move in tandems to each other.  So, do you all mean that Malaysia somehow uses the same financial system like Thailand?

Most of our regional economies are closely related partly due to the cultural values and beliefs that we share.  Moreover, ASEAN had somehow bring the 10 countries together to forge an economic block although we are not as strong as the EU yet.  This could explain the domino effect when one country economies suffer from shock sellings.  However, the recent bath movement is somehow trigger by political decision rather than economic as a whole.
