Beats me....I just believe RC will not acquire a company and keeps it idle, so when there are more development given time, the counter will adjust its price " naturally"...so its not meant for contra play for the time being patience is the way to go in this style of investment... |

There will be rights issue soon. I don't like holding stocks with right issues coming. The share price tends to drop or stagnant. But who knows.....Harvest might be different.

Right issue need to buy one wo...
Malaysian mentality....distaste right issues and prefer bonus issue whereas right issue strengthen the finance of the company whereas bonus issue create dilution ! Rsawit did a right issue and then a bonus issue...and all investors double up their wealth within months... |

I just don't like pumping new funds when need to subscribe the right issues. Most of the stocks share price that i have subscribe their rights seems to be stagnant. Usually i stayed away from counters with right issues coming up. Reason is simple. Subscribe rights for eg. RM1.00, you think after 1 month the shares can become RM1.20. Don't think so unless you keep for 1 year or more.

The way I think...rights issues can be profitable depending on individual company that offers it as it is greatly influence by the integrity of the management. When the fresh funds is used diligently for growth, the company will prosper, and the share price will move up otherwise, it will an exercise to con minority shareholders. Which is a good right issue? one has to be carefull and do some homework and do not subscribe blindly. TMS did one recently....with free warrants, and those who subscribe for it.....( a small minority ) laughing all the way to the bank....at 10 sen par and come with free warrant whereby the warrant paid for the rights and more......what more one can ask ? |
