what's the diff between PN16 and PN17?
i always came across with PN17, it's like making losses company.
how about PN16? i only know that they just sold off their main biz.

Just wonder if it's backdoor listing, not necessary the share price will go up. Unless the business itself is very strategic or lucrative, otherwise hard to go up.

Premier Nalfin draws active trading [The Star]
PETALING JAYA: Premier Nalfin Bhd, a PN16 company with cash and no core business, has been actively traded over the past few days.
Its shares rose 1.5 sen to 46.5 sen with 11.79 million shares traded yesterday, with the counter seeing a sharp jump from 31 sen to 46.5 sen in six days.
Checks with major shareholder Koperasi Kebangsaan Permodalan Tanah Bhd (KKPTB) drew a blank. “We are not aware of why the stock had gone up recently,” said an official who declined to be quoted.
The company sold its downstream palm oil business last October and has since been a cash shell.
As at Sept 30, 2011, Premier Nalfin had RM110.7mil in cash and no debts, which translates into a net cash per share of 32.8 sen. However this is lower than its current share price of 46.5 sen.
The KKPTB official also said there might be plans to distribute the cash to shareholders but added that “in the event the share price is higher than the cash per share, the fund would be inclined to sell off its shares in the open market.”
The company has until July to submit its regularisation plan to the Securities Commission (SC) and implement its proposal within the time frame prescribed by the authorities.
According to data by Bloomberg, KKPTB owns a 62.1% stake in the company while second largest shareholder, Tan Sri K. R. Somasundram has a 12.7% stake.
However, an industry source said Premier Nalfin might see a complete change in business direction soon via the injection of new oil and gas assets along with the emergence of controlling shareholders.
“One of the assets is said to be a 30-year Indonesian oil concession. Another proposal is for Premier Nalfin to acquire a marine support services company,” said the source.

本报探悉，这家油气公司与首要纳芬会以换股的方式交易，前者将把旗下油气资产注入新公司，同时也可运用首要纳芬充裕现金流的优势。
据了解，这家油气公司在印尼拥有一项产品共享合约，目前每日产量达3000桶原油。
首要纳芬是一家投资控股公司，原本通过旗下子公司制造糕饼用的专用油脂产品。

Ya, just curious. How u know that the deal didn't go through?
Anyway, If the news is true, it must have surged yesterday. But it was closed lower than the day before. From Bursa announcement, the major shareholders, the Koperasi have sold 10,000,000 shares on 9.2.12 at 42 cts each.
