Hi All, Thanks for your TA advise. Actually I m looking into the opportunity of pyramid. Your advise help me to size up the situation. This confirmation together lend supplementary support to this stock; 1) Big article in the star on sat on this quiet counter 2)Peer counter Toyoink has move bullishly from about Rm 0.90 above Rm 1.90 now. 3) Bullish overall mkt undertone.
Most important my FA valuation indicate minimum fair value is easily closed to Rm 3.30 without potential of re-rating

Careful there. Most 2nd Board counters never get fully valued and stays that way. Happy investing!

max, I think your advice will be useful if u based on TA- chart reading and comment on the potential resistance and in which time or price to sell based on TA potential and when to cut-loss.
In TA there is no issue of 2nd or 1st board as all subject to similiar reading and analyse accordingly. If u comment is directed on FA intrinsic value of Rm 3.30 seems too high then comment accordingly based on your TA analysis.
Thanks

TA and FA are merely methods. Trading strategy may include one or both or neither. While Main or 2nd Board are neither TA nor really FA, its an observation I ve made. Friendly nudge - that from FA viewpoint, many 2nd board companies failed to reflect their value for a good long time

in FA, second or first board never matter? first board usually got higher PE, as a premium for liquidity first board also got higher reliability, as these stocks are covered more intensively by institutional... thus we can expect less accounting shenanigans... first board also tend to get more publicity, as the leader that lead the index, in which then determine the aggregate market sentiment.

The problem with cut loss is, easy to say hard to do; the problem with let the profit run is, most often, the profit only run 100m, not the 400m as you expected.

Friendly nudge - that from FA viewpoint, many 2nd board companies failed to reflect their value for a good long time not only second board, Malaysia tend to be priced lower, because there exist protectionism and some so-called time bomb here...so, some risk premium is needed to compensate political risk... (not to mention that we are famous for Dr M, and foreigners often associate us to Indonesia and Thailand) this is why when other shooting up up up, we can go up, but the percentage up will be lower...

I think we have missed the point 'The topic any good stock in 2nd Board ?). Right here we have identify a stock that qualify for both TA and FA test and just cross or challenging the MA. Then there is a remark '2nd board counter stay and remain undervalue !! Since we are very specific to a stock please take the challenge and compare on that stock market action at least based on TA perspective !!
As for mkt valuation based on P/E valuation with a premium we are well aware of it.In fact we want to find a niche to be slightly contrary to benefit from it when the mkt rerate and move the laggards. Who can say the 2nd board can stay down forever ? Although this is my opinion I chose to be specific to avoid argument and use Toyocem as a example. The discussion will be meaningful and within the topic if we can look into the TA of toyocem and discuss those issue in respect of TA readings.

Fixation on methods normally does not yield best results. This is merely a principle in life itself. What I meant was - yes Toyochem passed the test of FA and TA. However, will it rise to be fully valued as per FA? My take is pro****lity is low due to it is a 2nd Board counter. This need not confirmation from either FA or TA. Personal observation and experience would suffice.
TA wise, I prefer to let profit run until a trend reversal is indicated. Hence, there is no price target for Toyochem.

Good point ! If my target of intrinsic value of Rm 3.30 and we are letting the profit run without knowing the actualtarget price and we are letting mkt decide. On what basis do u see the Rm 3.30 intrinsic cannot be achieved ? I m not forcing u to concur with my analysis or target at least we want to have the feel and rationale and understand ur state of thoughts.

Merely highlighting the odds of a 2nd board company to achieve its intrinsic value is low. That is all. Odds remains odds, with enough demand, it can beat the odds. Key is enough demand.
