yup... 100% agree... but i treat UT as my second Epf... deploying different strategy. .. i dump in rmxxx per month into this fund as regular saving...
in bursa... i need to wait the right timing and price as well...

UT is tied to cash mkt.

If cash mkt perform badly, UT also wld b t same.

Why want to invest in public bank unit trust? Why not just whack RM1 million in ASM or AS1M?

I invested tis fund few years ago... so far return is positive... but bear in mind... UT is slower but safer then invest in share market directly...
if boy got holding power and aim for long term... try public strategic smallcap...
anyway... public regular saving fund is quite ok
hope it is help

UT is a portfolio play. That's why you dont buy small small in UT. If you invest RM100k into a UT, fund mgr will buy approximately 40 stocks for you or average RM2500 per stock. If you invest RM10k.... then indirectly you are buying 40 stocks with RM250 per stock.

If you split your RM100k into say 5 UT - Europe fund, China fund etc etc... Then you are indirectly buying 200 stocks with your RM100k.

If you think you can manage your own money why pay 5% sales charge and 1.5% annual fee for other people to manage for you?

sometime no more free slot = cannot buy at all

 :) :)

Buy Public Bank shares today and then hibernate for the next 20 years.  Do not forget to reinvest the dividends.
Itís better to buy a wonderful company at fair price than a fair company at wonderful price.

1.  Understand the business
2.  Business must have DCA
3.  Management with integrity
4.  Buy at a sensible price

Big Fat Pitch.  Focus Investing.  Long term portfolio for capital appreciation and income.

The funds have been closed for new UT holders currently. There are new funds which are equivalent.
