Businessman’s false police report case fixed for Jan 15
BALIK PULAU: The case of a 48-year-old former company director charged with making a false police report here has been fixed for document submission on Jan 15.
Senior assistant registrar Nur Fadrina Zulkhairi set the date after the prosecution told the court that the documents for the case of businessman Teh Eng Huat were not ready.
Teh, from Sungai Nibong, claimed trial to giving false information orally to a policeman at the Queensbay police station.
He was charged on Nov 7 under Section 182 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum of six months’ jail, a fine up to RM2,000, or both.
He was allowed bail of RM1,800. Teh was represented by counsel Chuah L.P.
